The Internet & WebCloud Computing
The Cloud Is a Building
Your photos live in giant warehouses full of humming computers
Your photos are “in the cloud.” But a cloud can't hold anything, so where exactly do those pictures sit, and what keeps them safe?
You'll find out
- Where your uploaded photos really go
- Why one storm can't erase them
- How much power the cloud uses
Why it matters
Every photo, message and video you save leans on these buildings, and their power bill is now big enough to matter.
